- A spray tan session is $40 - This comes as a standard 2 coats.

Most people prefer 2 coats so that’s $65 at local salons. Your pay more than half for our standard

What is spray tanning?
Spray Tanning is a safe, fast, and impressive way to have a beautiful goddess tan without the
harmful effects of the sun. We use a hand held spray tan gun in a booth to cover you with a high
quality tanning mist. This hand held application ensures theres no missed bits and if you want a
lighter / darker part of your body than we can accomodate!

The Sun’s UV rays can cause skin cancer, dry out your skin and speed up the aging process. Spray
tanning is a safe and healthy way to achieve a fit, healthy tan.

We have showers here so if you have been at work and need a quick rinse off you are more than
welcome to have a shower here and wash off the deoderant and moisturier that may be left on

As we mentioned having a spray tan makes you feel great! So we have packs so you can tan on
a regular basis but remember the big events which will make you simply stunning in your photos-
wedding, formals, parties or even before you go on a holiday. This may sound strange but
how many people look at their holiday snaps from the start of the trip and think “Argh I am so
white!” So why not look like you have been on a holiday before you even step onto that plane!

You’ll enjoy a well-designed salon with excellent privacy and comfort. Our staff are experienced,
St. Tropez accredited spray tanning professionals. We use state of the art equipment
and superior products to offer you the perfect result. We have both a 2 hour tan and an 8 hour
tan. The 2 hr tan means you can shower after 2 hours but the tan will develop over the next 6
hours leaving you looking smokin’ hot! The 8 hr tan is a more natural tan and is by St. Tropez the
leader of the spray tan market.

When you come for the first time, you’ll sit down and relax while we do an initial consultation
to understand your needs and skin type. Every tanning session is tailored to meet your personal
needs.

After your session, we’ll offer you advice on how to preserve and take care of your tan. We
want to ensure your tan lasts as long as possible.

Frequently asked questions

What should I do before my tan?
Take a shower to wash off any dirt, sweat, make up, deodorant or moisturiser and allow the tanning
product to be absorbed best by your skin.

What sort of clothes should I wear to my appointment?
Loose clothes are best. Avoid overly tight-fitting clothes. If you can go sans bra that would be
best also loose the strappy shoes, a pair of thongs is best.

What do I wear while I’m receiving my tan?
It’s up to you. Some people prefer to be nude. Some wear underwear. Don’t be shy about your
preference. We supply a g-string for women. Men if you have speedos or a g-string, please bring
it along.

Who will apply my tan?
An experienced and well-trained Hypoxi staff member will consult with you about your skin type
and needs and then apply your spray tan in a private booth with an advanced mist applicator.

How long does it take?
We ask that you arrive 10 minutes prior to your appointment. If it’s your first time, you will need
5 minutes to fill out a quick questionnaire. The session takes approx 20 minutes from undressing,
receiving the tan, drying off, ensuring you are completely satisfied, and getting dressed again.

Does the spray tan smell or have an odour?
Generally no, our tans are completely odourless. The active ingredients in the tan actually react
with the pigments in your skin, and the same tan can actually smell different on different people.

What should I do after my tan?
Avoid taking a shower for 2 hour for the 2 hour tan and 8 hours for the St. Tropez. We suggest avoiding any strenuous activities, which may cause you to sweat a lot. Also avoid natural exfoliants ie long baths and chlorine.

How can I make my tan last longer?

• Take a shower and ensure your skin is clean from moisturiser, make up, dirt and other substances
  prior to your spray tan session.
• Wear loose clothes (nothing too tight) to your appointment.
• Avoid showering for 2/8 hours after your session (depending on the solution- we will advise
  you)
• Avoid strenuous activities, which may make you sweat for 6 hours after the session.
• Avoid scrubbing your skin too hard in the shower during the week after
• Keep your skin moisturised. Dry skin dries up and falls off as dead skin more quickly.We recommend
  using the St. Tropez Moisturiser which is sold in our studio for $24.95

Will my skin be orange after the session?
No. This is a result of inexperienced or untrained tanners using poor products, over spraying or
poor equipment.

the finest products available. We do a full skin and tanning needs assessment prior to each appointment
and tailor your spray tan to your personal needs.

If I have a big event coming up, when should I have my spray tan appointment?
You can book your tan any time leading up to your event. Our new “Rapid Tan” technology even
means that you can have a tan on the day of your event. You can have a tan and shower 2 hours
later, and be looking fabulous for your big night! For weddings we recommend 2 days before so
you don’t get any rub-off from the tanning under your arms onto your beautiful white gown.

I’m not sure a spray tan will be suitable for my type of skin.
We offer a highly-personal approach to spray tans by tailoring the tan to your skin type and
needs. We can also spot test the tan on a patch of skin so you can be completely confident your
tan will come out looking great!

Do many guys get spray tans?
Yes, lots of guys are getting spray tans these days. We believe you look fitter, healthier and
more attractive with a tan.
